I never get this excited over Mountain Dew anymore!
I discovered Impetigo through a genius blog called metal inquisition
and being one of the first metal heads on the nuclear blast/Relapse records mailing list since thier inception I'd seen their mentioned a thousand times but alot of those bands mostly ran together so it was hard to tell what was good. the best things are almost always worth waiting for(like when I saw Raging Bull just 2 years ago). I had no idea that I was living the same life as the dudes in this band minus, the having a kick-ass band to rock out my teenage aggression and love of gore movies with,honestly when I first heard them I was jealous! I mean here I was stuck in a loser suburb just like they were(mine being Coral Springs, Florida) there's somewhere just as cornball (Bloomington,Illinois). We both had a connection to Chas Balun(the only sleaze peddler selling gore flick bootlegs he designed their logo) and Mutilation Graphics(the only awesome gore t-shirt peddler that mattered,later all thier designs would be recycled for more money c/o Rottencotton).
Anyway these guys blew me away with their genius level of dumbness and greatness an irresistable combo for me and I was them! for awhile really but with no band,sadly later I would get bored with metal and get waay into garage music but then again you can never appreciate something until you outgrow it.But of course I still like to relive my middle school/high school days through 90's death metal.
