Scene Investigator Crackdown

So last night after a really fun BBQ at my house I tagged along with some friends to a show. Mainly because I was already drunk and also because I wanted to give my wife some girl time with her old friend.Little did I know that I would discover a whole new scene that I had no idea existed, The Indie Rock scene.It sounds very douche and lame but I didn't think there still were people who went to shows not to impress anyone and unlike normal shows I go to(garage rock ones and metal/hardcore) I didn't sense any fights about to break out or hostility in the air. It must've been casual wedsday or something? This was very bizzare to me. I hate scenes outright and I really don't even know what indie rock is anymore? Last I cared to check was in this Trouser Press Giant book I used to take out at the BCC College Library and this was pre-internet and 911. Everyone there at the concert either looked like this picture of Leaf/Joaquin Phoenix or skinny clothes maybe Shins looking motherfuckers.Those guys don't fool me, I know like the Shins they are all mysogynist model beater uppers too, but at least they left it at the door or in their cars. The only band that's under the indie rock label that I listen to are Guided By Voices, but the music that I half heard(because I was outside the whole time) was crummy. One thing I hate about garage shows is how immature everyone seems to feel they have to behave and act like a giant 3rd grader I never got that bullshit? I'm talking about people I just see not people I actually know. If I didn't love garage music, why the fuck would I put up with these people? I mean the Hardcore scene was actually worse! At least these people can sort of take a joke not like the who skinheads would show up at death metal shows just to close line metal heads. At this indie rock show everyone was overly nice and I noticed they all had the beard cardigan combo. I bet I could even win an arm wrestling fight, if I was challenged at that show last night.You sold me indie rock crowd! I like an audience that's easy goin and casual! I might even wear my pajamas to the next one! I just noticed this is the second weirdo beardo picture I've posted now I think this funemployment beard is seeping into my brain.
