HUSKER DONT

Husker Du are one of those bands I never bothered to give a chance at all, but then again why should I? From the silly waxed mustachioed (future pastry chef) and Daily Show scoring, happier now that I've come out of the closet(Bob Mould), lameo solo career. And then there's the pudgey drummer, who may as well be "Joe Mama Besser". But after listening to "In a Free Land" on the FASTER AND PUNKER Rhino comps I feel like I shouldn't have overlooked them and everyone I hung out with goofed on "Zen Arcade" saying its their one good album. Poked fun at their snobby name with it's Motley Crue/ Lowenbrau umlauts? Probably. I like their post punky sound and I really liked Jawbox and Shudder to Think. Those are the wimpiest hardcore bands I can dredge up for now. I might make up for lost time and find a new appreciation for a good band that I left out, maybe I'm missing something? I didn't get Guided by Voices when I first heard them and now we are inseparable. I gained a total appreciation for The Minutemen after seeing their doc. "We Jam Econo". I'll let you know how it goes

I have since tried and failed, they suck and overuse the phaser.
