Willie Colon Mr. Vigilante

A few weeks ago Mrs. Crank and I attended the Castro Theater screening of my all time favorite sleaze flick Vigilante. It was an all day trash movie fest at a really nice theater(they also played Lady Terminator,Raw Force, and Escape From NY).

If you go over to skunkape's blog he's got the incredible theme song by Jay Chattaway. Jay does most of the synth music in a Bill Lustig film, who has a hard time keeping Maniac out of his titles(Maniac,Maniac Cop 123,).

Meanwhile at The Castro... they had prizes and junk and I guessed the soundtrack guy for Vigilante, for my efforts I received a salsa CD by the lead thug, excellently played by Willie Colon. This is the incidental music you hear blasting in the gang's car or in the sleazy hotel later on when Robert Forster kills Willie and his hoebag. It's not bad but just rare.Basically any incidental music or otherwise in a film I usually need in my collection.

so check it out:
