As far as I can tell only my sister and I have made this connection and since I can't find the really tough live version from the groovies(you'll have to suffer through this hippy version) I'm posting a version by one of the most underatted garage punk band from Minneapolis The Hypstrz, who are just amazing any song they cover is a solid classic.
