sadly this issue used to reside under my bed with other smut mags but oddly enough contains no actual porn. Just the usual ads on every other page and an interview with Marilyn Manson(eek).Film Threat has since become embarrassingly mainstream and pandering.Skunkape and I were just discussing how this porn/cult video store used to have all the Film Threat related titles like: Hated(the GG Allin doc.),Nekromantik,Hardcore Transgressional cinema short films, this was in the early 90's when this was considered cutting edge I guess.
a really cool issue of Cracked Magazine with a parody of the excellant Stallone action vehicle "Cobra" done by Bill Wray and Mort Todd both geniuses.I love the Charles Bronson, Clint Eastwood charactachures.
this funny interview with Greg Hetson is from an awesome underrated zine called "FIZZ".They would have all kinds of great pictures and interviews with bands and have captions kinda making fun of certain stuff.I bought it cause it had an interview with the Melvins and the first time I ever saw anything about Saturday Morning Cartoons and Sid and Marty Krofft stuff(they had Tad or L7,various grunge people talk about Land of the Lost or Space Ghost).Which would later be all the rage but this was pre VH1(they were still playing C&C Music Factory and Roxette at the time).This post put me back in the grunge time machine and I want to get out.
