Saxon are one of the most Spinal Tap like bands I mean they totally got aped by Chris Guest and company(among so many other bands, Status Quo being another) but just take this song for example it's the goofiest shit ever but incredible too! It's a song about Flying a foxy airplane(Scandinavian 101) into Kennedy airport, all talking about the landstrip and makin with the sexual innuendos, all the involvement of landing a stupid airplane and lost love on separate flights, they might as well be describing a pink torpedo sinking into a flesh tuxedo!
Saxon have some hot fucking guitar licks and good tunes! They look like a cross between Foreigner,Journey and Spinal Tap like everyone in the band at any minute could go their separate ways and start 12 other kick ass groups (Their lead singer Biff Byford) looks alot like David St. Hubbins. Their original band name was Son of A Bitch and they came out of my favorite music school of all time The NWOBHM I mean that takes the cake!
