Why not take a nice vacation in dc punk land with your cellphone. Click on next location if you didn't figure that out already. I loved most of the D.C. Hardcore bands in high school, but sadly would never listen to them now if i hadn't suffered through adolescence. Some of the early stuff still sounds good though and Fugazi and still one of the greatest bands I've ever seen live just for the total spectacle of improv (in more ways then one) with the comedy act of returning people's 5 dollars which always seems like a comedy act. Actually i take it back there are some really important bands on Dischord and one that is from DC, but not alot of people talk about: Swiz who were incredible.Also check out how vital Marion Barry was to funding these bands(involuntarily or not?) and Ian Svenonius going on about 666 numerology. Actually a friend of mine in high school met him and he was all into that then so maybe that dude is just crazy? Another ridiculous thing occured to me why have a cellphone documentary and not a real one? What is the deal this was alot more entertaining then the Fugazi film "Instrument" maybe it has to be so self indulgent that it merrits a quality release. Or it's probably the same reason the Dead Kennedys and The Misfits were absent from the American Hardcore Doc. or the same reason pot is illegal, but everyone on the planet smokes it? That's a head scratcher if i ever saw one.
