I watched "Blood Freak" last night and I was knocked out! I love cheaply made horrible movies set in Florida. This one would be hard to sit though again but let's just say it was a magical night! Tcm is the greatest channel on cable period! The story involves a bo-hunk of a man named Herschell(I guess, inspired by one of the giant video boxes H.G. Lewis used to have in every video store) who is a freewheelin jesus freako biker who slithers into a party(where crazy druggies and party goers are trying to have a good time) when he just immediatley starts judging all the girls and generally pissing off the people in the house.Mainly it's to get into the pants of his girlfriends(?) sister.Ok,obviously I need to watch this again! Anyway,the craziest part of the whole thing is after eating an experimental turkey dinner(served by turkey scientists apparently) he has a seizure and then transforms into the guy in the picture.I don't want to give away the whole thing(the Psychotronic review says it all!)
Key scenes: The Criswell(?) inspired narrator,who is here to bible spout and re-arrange cracker jack analogies about drug use almost chokes to death on his own cigarette
A woman,after being slaughtered upside down emmitts a sound recording over and over of what sounds like a laughing hyenna and a babboon in serious heat! It had me howling!
